BIOGRAPHY: Started eight games last season and led Nebraska in tackles posting 92/15/2. Started a single contest as a junior after undergoing an appendectomy and finished the year with 32 tackles.
POSITIVES: Explosive run-defending linebacker who.s at his best in pursuit. Effectively diagnoses the action, moves well about the field, and makes plays in every direction. Collapses from the outside defending the run, shows speed in pursuit, and explosive moving up the field. Flashes ability in coverage and shows good footwork moving in reverse.
NEGATIVES: Lacks height and slowed by blocks. More of a chase-and-run-down linebacker than a defender who forces the action. Missed significant time in his first two seasons in the Cornhusker program with injury.
ANALYSIS: Octavien is a solid prospect with a good amount of upside. He projects well in a one-gap system, yet he must show some durability to have a chance at the next level.
