BIOGRAPHY: Full-time starter the past three years after seeing action with the first-team as a freshman. All-Conference selection after his senior and junior campaigns. Posted career-high numbers of 92/1174/13 last year after 72/1170/10 the previous year.
POSITIVES: Productive underneath receiver with adequate size/speed numbers. Plays with terrific body control. Shows soft and strong hands with the ability to pull the ball from the air. Easily adjusts, reaches back, or gets vertical to make the difficult catch. Finds the soft spots in the defense, comes back to the quarterback, and a sturdy receiver who exposes himself to the big hit. Looks the ball in and shows solid eye/hand coordination.
NEGATIVES: Marginally effective running after the reception. Average speed and not beating defenders deep. Runs poor routes, slow into breaks, and not getting separation.
ANALYSIS: Rivers has been productive the past three seasons and is a hard-working prospect who must improve the details of his position. Has potential as a fourth receiver.
