BIOGRAPHY: Former starting receiver who caught 11 passes last year. Suspended the first three games of the year after receiving improper benefits which potentially violated NCAA regulations. Also struggled through last season with a shoulder injury. Started during his sophomore and junior campaigns with career-high numbers of 34/750/5 coming in 2005.
POSITIVES: Athletic pass-catcher with solid size/speed numbers. Nicely adjusts to the errant throw, makes the reception in stride, and looks the pass in. Solid route-runner, gets separation from defenders, and flashes the ability to pick up yardage running after the catch. Displays solid hands for the most part.
NEGATIVES: Unnecessarily lets the ball get inside him at times. Gives minimal effort blocking. Has a history of shoulder injuries.
ANALYSIS: Pittman looked like a top prospect early in his college career, yet he watched his play take a major step back last season. He could make it as a fifth receiver for a timing offense if his shoulder is healthy.
