BIOGRAPHY: Moved into the starting lineup as a sophomore and has sporadically played with the first team ever since. Senior-year rushing totals included 116/420/3 when he also added 14/87 as a pass-catcher. Tore a knee ligament three games into his junior season of 2006 and was forced to the sidelines. Career-high rushing numbers of 110/618/1 came as a sophomore.
POSITIVES: Nice-sized interior ball-carrier who gives top effort. Strong, displays power, and shows the ability to break tackles and pick up yardage off initial contact. Sees the field, finds the hole, and keeps his feet driving up the field. Tough and will play through pain. Effectively handles blocking duties.
NEGATIVES: Marginal pass-catcher. Showed limited quickness and speed coming off his knee injury.
ANALYSIS: Andrews offers terrific size/speed numbers and he was progressing as one of the better running backs in the nation before his injury in 2006. He possesses the underlying skills to play at the next level, yet he must get fully healthy.
