BIOGRAPHY: Two-year starter awarded All-Conference and All-American honors as a senior after totaling 86/1171/10. Junior-year totals included 45/730/4. Selected sixth in the 2007 CFL draft by the Calgary Stampeders.
POSITIVES: King-sized pass-catcher whose game is on the upswing. Sells routes, comes back into the clearing of the defense, and works to make himself an available target. Plays with good body control, knows where he is on the field, and makes the difficult reception in a crowd. Effectively uses the sidelines, extends his hands, and looks the pass in. Adjusts to the errant throw and displays good concentration. Strong downfield blocker.
NEGATIVES: Not quick releasing off the line and a one-speed receiver who lacks the second gear. Marginally effective running after the reception.
ANALYSIS: Arthur is a prototypical possession receiver at the next level who has a shot of making an active roster if he polishes his game.
