BIOGRAPHY: Two-year starter awarded All-Conference honors as a junior and senior. Also named Rimington Award recipient as a top center in Division II both of those seasons.
POSITIVES: Explosive, intelligent blocker who works hard on the inside. Plays with a great degree of quickness, active with his hands, and can adjust to opponents. Keeps his head on a swivel, remains aware, and effectively quarterbacks the offensive line. Looks to hit as many people as possible off a single snap. Effective with shotgun snap.
NEGATIVES: Does not show great blocking range. Bends at the waist, which hurts his balance. Lacks a dominant base and gets minimal movement from run-blocks.
ANALYSIS: Morton is an outstanding small-school blocker with a great head for the game. He possesses terrific intangibles, yet he has size and athletic limitations which will hinder him at the next level.
