BIOGRAPHY: Three-year starter named all-Conference selection as a senior. Used primarily at center but also saw action at both tackle spots and guard in college.
POSITIVES: Large, athletic blocker with a good degree of upside. Plays with good knee bend, pad level and stays square. Strong at the point, jolts defenders with good hand punch and shows the ability to adjust to speedy defenders. Possesses better than average strength and turns defenders off the line.
NEGATIVES: Shows marginal lateral blocking range and footwork. Not consistent extending his hands into defenders. Does too much arm wrestling which hampers his ability to finish blocks.
ANALYSIS: Thomas has shown a lot of ability since his sophomore season and is very effective when focused on the task at hand. He offers the skill the play at the next level and could be an inexpensive utility blocker if he picks up the intensity of his game and learns to play to the level he is capable of.
