POSITIVES: Nice-sized, athletic cornerback with an incomplete game. Feisty, physical and quick moving up the field to defend the run or screen plays. Fights with receivers throughout routes, displays a good break to the throw, and works hard to break up passes. Very fast in a straight line.

NEGATIVES: Lacks fluid footwork moving in reverse. Beaten by larger opponents, easily disrupted from the action by blocks, and shows average ball skills.

ANALYSIS: Hughes helped his draft stock with a terrific combine workout, yet he is a cornerback who needs a lot of work on his overall game. He'll be most effective in a zone system or backed off the line of scrimmage, yet he possesses the athleticism and upside potential to make a roster.
