BIOGRAPHY: Former tight end who broke into the starting lineup as a junior. All-Conference selection last season. Suffered a stress fracture
in his foot prior to 2007 season and missed the entire year.
POSITIVES: Trautwein is a size prospect who's shown flashes of ability two of the past three seasons. He could develop into a right tackle
at the next level if he fills out his frame and plays with better power.
NEGATIVES: Struggles sliding off the edge and exploited by speed rushers or linebackers. Does not show the ability to adjust.
ANALYSIS: Nice-sized lineman best as a position blocker. Quickly gets his hands into defenders, stays square, and turns opponents from
the action. Blocks with a wide base, keeps his feet moving, and works hard to finish blocks. Plays with a nasty attitude,
and keeps his head on a swivel, picking up stunt blitzes.
