BIOGRAPHY: Former Texas A&M ball carrier who led the team in rushing and receiving last season, posting 164/787/4 and 58/557/4 respectively.
All-Conference selection as a junior after ground totals of 173/1239/12 with a 7.2-yard average and pass catching totals of
POSITIVES: Lucas has been a productive college player, and has shown himself effective as a ball-carrier, pass catcher, and blocker.
He has adequate measurables for the next level, and although he's unlikely to be selected at any point in the draft, Lucas
is a solid free-agent rookie prospect with a real chance to make an NFL roster.
NEGATIVES: Lacks the agility and speed to turn the corner and not a creative runner who makes something out of nothing.
ANALYSIS: Nice sized ball carrier with a versatile game. Displays power in his lower body, keeps his feet moving up the field, and breaks
arm tackles, picking up yardage off initial contact. Patiently waits for blocks to develop, displays solid running vision,
and works to get as much out of every carry as possible. Solid pass catcher out of the backfield, quickly gets into routes
and extends his hands, then pulls the fastball from the air. Effectively picks up stunts or blitzes, squaring into defenders
and holding his ground in pass protection.
