BIOGRAPHY: Two-year starter who posted 20/2/5 in seven games as a senior before a shoulder injury put him on the sidelines. Junior totals
included 64/4/8.
POSITIVES: Athletically gifted cornerback with tremendous size and speed. Fluid transitioning off the line, displays a good burst of
speed, and runs downfield with opponents. Quickly breaks to the throw out of his plant, has a nice move on the ball, and flies
around the field trying to defend the pass. Aggressive in run defense, and quickly makes his way up the field, stopping ball
carriers.
NEGATIVES: Does not play with great balance or body control. Prone to losing the ball in the air on occasion.
ANALYSIS: Barnes entered his senior season with high grades after turning in a terrific junior campaign. He played well last year before
the season-ending shoulder injury yet he still offers a tremendous amount of upside potential for the next level.
