BIOGRAPHY: Part-time starter the past two years who contributed primarily on special teams early in his LSU career. Senior rushing totals included just 14/28/3 with two receptions. Carried the ball a total of three times and caught just two passes prior to last season.

POSITIVES: Powerful, nasty lead blocker at fullback. Quick out of his stance, redirects to opponents and easily turns defenders off the ball. Displays solid blocking vision, plays with leverage, and aggressively attacks blocking assignments. Shows the ability to handle defensive lineman at the point of attack and effectively picks up blitzes.

NEGATIVES: Possesses only a short area burst of speed and struggles when he is required to move outside of the tackle box. Has never been an offensive threat.

ANALYSIS: Johnson is a hard-working traditional lead blocker who does the dirty work. His inability to handle the ball will knock him off the draft boards of a number of teams, but Johnson would be an asset as a lead blocker and power running system.
