BIOGRAPHY: Three-year starter awarded varying degrees of all-Conference honors since his sophomore campaign. Led Houston in receiving as a senior, posting career numbers of 86/907/11 after 40/445/3 as a junior.

POSITIVES: Hafner has been a solid player for Houston, and he really took his game to the next level as a senior. He's gone from a marginal free agent prospect to potential late- round pick. Hafner is not a tight end for everyone, yet he could be very effective in a system that consistently puts him in motion and does not make blocking a priority.

NEGATIVES: Small for tight end and looks more like a big possession receiver. Usually lined up in the slot. Marginal skills a blocker.

ANALYSIS: Terrific pass-catching tight end with natural receiving skills. Fluid releasing off the line, consistently extends to make the reception away from his frame, and very quick transitioning from making the catch to running after the reception. Displays good awareness, uses his frame to shield away opponents, and makes the difficult catch in a crowd. Effectively makes the reception in stride, adjusts to the errant throw, and then plucks the ball in the air. Finds the open spot in the defense, and consistently makes himself an available pass catcher.
