POSITIVES: Hard-working lineman with average size/speed numbers. Displays good first step quickness, plays with solid pad level, and keeps his feet moving on contact. Possesses terrific awareness and a sense of what's happening on the field, working hard to make positive plays. Flashes power in his lower body, and has the ability to push blockers off the ball. Works his hands throughout the action. Plays intelligent football.

NEGATIVES: Slow shedding blocks once engaged and engulfed by large opponents. Does not make many athletic plays on the field.

ANALYSIS: Richard is a smart, intense football player who gets the most from his abilities. He may never develop into a starter on the NFL level, yet he has the skills and mental makeup to be a productive defensive lineman in a rotational system.
