BIOGRAPHY: Two-year starter who began his college career at Oklahoma. All-Conference selection after his senior season, posting throwing
totals of 56.2%/3,355/27/13. Played in nine games as a junior totaling 59.1%/2,209/10/6. Missed the final two games of ?07
with a knee injury. Dismissed from the Oklahoma program after violation of NCAA rules.
POSITIVES: Nice-sized signal caller with an NFL arm. Quick setting up in the pocket when lined up underneath center, natural looking
off the safety, and knows where his receivers are on the field. Possesses a quick release, puts speed on throws, and powers
the ball into pass catcher's hands. Sells the ball fakes, stands in the pocket and takes a hit in order to get the ball away.
Goes through receiver progressions, quickly finds the open wideout, and throws beautiful deep passes at times. Puts touch
on throws when necessary, and does a good job commanding the offense.
NEGATIVES: Slings the ball from the side, changes his point of release, and is very inconsistent with his accuracy and pass placement.
Forces the ball into coverage and does not throw tight spirals. Does not consistently throw with good footwork, and releases
the ball off his back foot or pulls out of throws, which affects his accuracy.
ANALYSIS: Bomar was a highly recruited passer at Oklahoma before his career switched course with off-the-field violations. He possesses
the physical skills to play at the next level yet throws with inconsistent mechanics that have a negative effect on his all-around
game. Bomar is a solid prospect, yet he will need plenty of time to complete his game before he is NFL ready.
