POSITIVES: Goddard is a defensive back who plays the game significantly faster than he times in the forty. Possessing good instincts, he displays good awareness on the field, and if put in the proper system at the next level, he could develop into a solid backup.

NEGATIVES: Struggles in coverage and man-to-man situations. Lacks a burst to the ball out of his plant.

ANALYSIS: Opportunistic defensive back with marginal physical skills. Quickly picks up assignments or diagnoses the action, makes plays sideline-to-sideline and wraps up tackling. Keeps the action in front of him, displays terrific anticipation as well as a sense of timing. Quickly closes to the play, and is a sure handed tackler. Very efficient, and is a physical safety who's tough against the run.
