BIOGRAPHY: Four-year starter awarded varying degrees of all-Conference honors since his freshman campaign. Named to a number of All-America
teams the past two years. Senior totals included 92/1/6 after 117/2/7 as a junior. Experienced returning both punts and kicks.
POSITIVES: Fierce, active safety best defending the run. Displays a good head for the ball in run defense, quick up the field, and a
good open field tackler. Intense, plays physical football and goes hard until the whistle blows. Plays with a good degree
of suddenness and flashes on the scene. Tremendous leader of the defense who does whatever necessary to make plays.
NEGATIVES: Does not consistently take proper angles to the action. Gets turned in coverage and loses his receivers when placed in man-coverage
situations. Average ball skills.
ANALYSIS: Chung has been a durable and productive college player, and he projects as a prototypical strong safety in the NFL. He lacks
great upside, yet he does enough things well that he should break into a starting lineup and have a long career at the next
level.
