BIOGRAPHY: Three-year starter awarded all-Conference honors since his junior season. Senior totals included 60/13.5/9.5, when he led
the MAC in sacks. Junior totals included 54/6.5/5.
POSITIVES: Briggs has been a pass rushing terror the past three year, and he has the ability to stand up over tackle as a rush linebacker
in the NFL. He's very much an undervalued prospect at this point, yet he offers of the skills necessary to play in the NFL.
NEGATIVES: Slow shedding blocks and engulfed at the point. Almost exclusively sent up the field and rarely asked to make plays in reverse.
ANALYSIS: Terrific college pass rusher who projects to outside linebacker in the NFL. Displays good first step quickness and the ability
to slide off blocks, then make plays in any direction of the field. Breaks down well playing with good knee bend, effectively
uses his hands to protect himself, and plays with excellent body control. Shows speed off the edge, stays within his pass
rush angle, and immediately alters his angle of attack. Rarely off his feet, gets a lot of penetration up the field, and quickly
locates the ball. Plays with a good degree of quickness and explosion.
