BIOGRAPHY: Four-year starter who began his career at right guard before moving to the left tackle position. All-Conference selection
since his sophomore campaign and named as an All-America player last year.
POSITIVES: Celebrated college lineman whose football skills fall short of his reputation. Blocks with good knee bend, keeps his feet
moving and stays square. Displays better-than-average footwork in space, immediately gets his hands into defenders and keeps
opponents away from his quarterback. Works well with teammates and keeps his head on a swivel. Explosive at the point and
fundamentally sound.
NEGATIVES: Average run blocker who does not finish off opponents. Must make better use of blocking angles. Not light on his feet and
rumbles about the field. Struggles to adjust.
ANALYSIS: Oher is a terrific story and a solid NFL prospect with starting potential at the next level. That said he never should have
been considered as one of the top five players in this draft nor the top rated tackle. Oher must improve the details of his
game and in time could find a home with the first unit at either left or right tackle.
