Positives: Large, strong athlete who projects to wide out at the next level. Shows patience in the pocket, buys time for receivers and goes through progressions. Has a quick release and zips all his throws. Displays vision, toughness and strength carrying the ball. Solid pass catcher who extends his hands, looks the ball in, and comes away with the difficult grab. Effectively uses his frame to shield away opponents. Sells routes, displays a sense of timing and nicely makes the difficult, over the shoulder reception. downfield. Negatives: Sprays his throws around the field and lacks overall accuracy. Shows a minimal burst to his game. Poor route runner. Analysis: Webb has been productive on the college level at a variety of positions for Alabama Birmingham. During the Senior Bowl he made a seamless transition back to receiver and looks like a natural at the position. Still rough around the edges, Webb must improve his route running and increase his speed, but he has all the skills to be a fourth wide out for an NFL team. Projection: 3rd |
