BIOGRAPHY: Two-year starter who led Florida State in rushing last season, posting 177/792/15 while adding 10/101/1 as a pass catcher.
Junior totals included 191/817/3 on the ground, with 22/203 numbers as a receiver.
POSITIVES: Smith is the next in a long line of undersized running backs from the Seminole program who find ways to create yardage. He
offers potential as a third-down back, and should Smith add the element of return specialist to his game, he will have a real
chance to make a roster.
NEGATIVES: Undersized and shows minimal strength in his running. Lacks breakaway speed, and does not show the ability to run to daylight.
Must improve his ball security.
ANALYSIS: Elusive ball handler who creates his own yardage. Finds the cutback lanes, quickly gets through them, and slides off defenders
to pick up positive yardage. Displays good vision, and does a solid job following blocks. Shows a burst of speed, runs north/south
and has a compact style. Runs low to the ground and an underneath his pads. Effectively picks up blitzes in pass protection.
