POSITIVES: Athletic defensive front seven player effective in pursuit. Breaks down well, chases the action hard, and quickly changes direction or redirects to ball carriers. Remains disciplined with assignments, quickly gets back to playing form off the initial block and a solid open field tackler. Flows well laterally, making plays out to the flanks and goes sideline-to-sideline chasing the action. Shows the ability to run with tight ends in coverage and make plays in pass defense.

NEGATIVES: Lacks a great first step out of a three-point stance. Controlled at the point by opponents and turned off the ball.

ANALYSIS: Jones is an athletic prospect who's best suited to play outside linebacker in the NFL. He's a developmental prospect who must complete his game, yet he has a real chance to make an NFL roster as a linebacker.
