BIOGRAPHY: Four-year starter awarded all-Conference honors as a senior. Durable and has played in every Temple game since his freshman year.

POSITIVES: Derenthal has been an outstanding player for Temple, yet he lacks the athletic numbers to be anything other than a backup in the NFL. His durability as well as his understanding of the game are added advantages.

NEGATIVES: Must improve his blocking balance and strength. Gets pushed back off the line by a single defender. Marginal skill in motion.

ANALYSIS: Hard-working, college blocker with minimal upside for the next level. Plays heads-up football, displays good awareness on the field, and does an outstanding job quarterbacking the offensive line. Keeps his head on a swivel, works well with teammates, and blocks with a nasty attitude, working to hit as many opponents as possible off a single snap. Displays quickness in his all-around game, immediately gets his hands into defenders and jolts them at the point with good punch. Terrific with the shotgun snap, as the ball quickly gets back into the quarterback's hands.
