BIOGRAPHY: Four-year starter awarded all-Conference honors as a junior. Played in just three games as a senior before breaking his ankle
and finished the year with eight receptions for 114 receiving yards. Junior totals included 31/645 or/6 after 29/479/2 as
a sophomore.
POSITIVES: Explosive receiver with home-run hitting speed. Quickly releases off the line, can turn it on in a single step, and has the
speed to easily beat defenders down the field. Explosive in all his actions, has opponents playing back on their heels, and
is a solid pass catcher. Nicely adjusts to the errant throw, easily makes the reception in stride, and looks the ball into
his hands. Terrific skill running after the catch. Gives effort blocking downfield.
NEGATIVES: Not a sturdy wideout who can take the big hit and hold onto the throw. Must improve his route running. Played in a wide-open
system at McNeese State. Coming off a severe ankle injury.
ANALYSIS: Lawrence possesses big-time speed for the next level, and he is a threat to score anytime he handles the ball. A legitimate
deep threat, Lawrence is worth the investment of a late round pick for future developmental possibilities.
