POSITIVES: Explosive defender with a good degree of upside potential. Plays with good pad level, quick off the snap, and shows a burst of speed. Works his hands to protect himself or get off blocks, collapses laterally to defend the run, and chases around the field trying to make plays.

NEGATIVES: Handled at the point by a single blocker. Possesses just an average change of direction. Overweight and poorly conditioned. Does not always play to his size.

ANALYSIS: Knighton is a well-sized lineman who flashes ability, yet he does not play with a high level of consistency. He has the underlying skill and athleticism to make a lineup and be used in a rotational system. Knighton must adhere to year-round conditioning and play at his ability on an every down basis to have a career at the next level.
