BIOGRAPHY: Three-year starter awarded all-Conference honors the past two years. Posted receiving numbers of 74/825/4 averaged 13.5 yards on 29 punt returns with two more scores as a senior. Junior receiving totals included 83/1,038/11. Led the Pac-10 in receptions the past two seasons, and was the league's top punt returner in 2008.

POSITIVES: Undersized, yet reliable, pass catcher with a complete game. Quickly releases into routes, shows sharpness into breaks and consistently gets separation from defenders. Adjusts to the errant throw, displays good focus and overall field awareness. Extends and then plucks the pass from the air. Quickly translates from making the reception to running after the catch, and displays elusiveness whenever he handles the ball in the open field. Does a nice job coming back to the ball out of his breaks ,or finding the clearing in the defense to make himself an available target. Consistent hand catcher who lays himself on the line to make the difficult reception. Feisty, keeps the play in bounds, and works hard to pick up yardage anytime he handles the ball.

NEGATIVES: Loses out in battles and struggles against big opponents. Does not show the flat-out speed to beat defenders down the field on a consistent basis.

ANALYSIS: Thomas has been a consistent performer at Arizona as a pass catcher and punt returner. His height is a limiting factor at the next level, yet he should find a home as a productive fourth receiver who will also produce on special teams.
