Biography: Former tight end who moved into the starting lineup as a junior and was awarded All-Conference honors last season.
Positives: Athletic week-side line prospect who showed steady development the past two years. Bends his knees, keeps his feet moving throughout the action, and makes good use of body positioning, sealing defenders from the play. Displays good jolt at the point of attack, solid quickness in his all-around game, and controls opponents once engaged at the point. Stays square, makes good use of blocking angles, and displays the ability to slide laterally. Blocks with a nasty attitude, working to hit as many defenders as possible off a single snap. Moves well on his feet and displays the ability to get the second level and take out linebackers.
Negatives: Not a natural knee bender. Bends at the waist. Struggles to finish blocks on running downs.
Analysis: Wang did a terrific job at the left tackle position for Virginia Tech the past two seasons and is a prospect with a nice degree of upside. He offers potential at left tackle or inside at guard, and he should only improve as he continues to receive more playing time at the position.
