BIOGRAPHY: Two-year starter who totaled 36/7/3.5 as a senior after 41/12.5/9.5 the prior year, when he was an all-Conference selection.
POSITIVES: Athletic pass rusher coming off a disappointing season. Quick off the snap, plays with good leverage, and consistently keeps
his knees bent. Works his hands to get off blocks, moves well laterally, and fluid making plays in every direction of the
field. Quickly changes direction and shows the ability to immediately alter his angle of attack.
NEGATIVES: Not physical or aggressive in run defense. Undersized and handled by tight ends. Virtually a non-factor last season, and was
not starting games in the middle of the year.
ANALYSIS: Davis possesses adequate size/speed numbers to be a pass rushing end in a 4-3 alignment. After showing signs of being a top
prospect during his junior season, his play took a major step back last season. Presently he looks like a late-round pick,
but he has the skills to play in the NFL.
