BIOGRAPHY: "Full-time starter the past two seasons after playing five games with the first team as a sophomore. Totals last season included 390/1,637/22 on the ground with 28/190 as a pass catcher. Junior rushing totals included 245/1,447/6 with 35/295 as a pass catcher. All-Conference selection after his senior and junior seasons. Saw sporadic action at Michigan State returning kicks."

POSITIVES: "Patient and productive ball carrier with outstanding vision and instincts. Runs with good lean, and keeps his feet driving up the field, working to get as much out of every run as possible. Waits for blocks to develop, immediately finds the hole, and quickly cuts back against the grain into the open field. Displays a burst of speed, works hard to pick up yardage on the inside, and displays the ability to make defenders miss or avoid piles altogether. Uses an effective straight arm to keep runs alive. Solid receiver out of the backfield."

NEGATIVES: "Possesses more of a short-area burst of speed, and cannot run to daylight in the open field. Does not pick up yardage off initial contact or break many tackles. Would not be classified as a truly elusive ball carrier who creates his own yardage."

ANALYSIS: "Ringer has been a very productive college ball carrier who shows versatility as a pass catcher. Coming off a terrific senior campaign, he does not project as a featured runner in the NFL, yet he should find a home as a situational back for a team that shuffles skill position players."
