BIOGRAPHY: Moved in with the first team as a true freshman and has seen starting action ever since. Suspended for the opener last season
after violating team rules and did not play in any of TCU?s first three games. Finished the year with 85/445/2 on the ground
and added 10/98 as a pass catcher. Junior totals included 106/490/2 carrying the ball and 24/161/1 as a pass catcher. Career
rushing numbers of 154/801/9 and 34/455/1 as a pass catcher came during his sophomore campaign.
POSITIVES: Versatile running back with an array of ball handling skills. Smart football player, finds lanes and quickly gets through
them. Instinctive, creates his own yardage on the inside, and darts around opponents getting through the small creases of
the defense. Quickly cuts back against the grain, avoiding piles, displays solid open field running skills, and makes defenders
miss in a small area. Weaves through the traffic, and uses blocks all over the field. Solid pass catcher out of the backfield.
Picks up blocking assignments and gives effort.
NEGATIVES: Mostly a one-speed back who cannot run to daylight or turn the corner. Lacks strength in his running, and not a ball carrier
who breaks tackles or picks up yardage off initial contact. Struggled with injuries and suspensions the past two years.
ANALYSIS: At the top of his game, Brown is a productive ball carrier and tag be used in a variety of roles at the next level. He offers
the skills necessary to be a third-down back or situational runner, but he must stay healthy and keep his focus on the field.
