Biography: Three-year starter awarded varying degrees of all-Conference honors since his freshman campaign. Totals in 2008 included 62 tackles after 67 tackles as a sophomore. Awarded a Rhodes Scholarship and did not play football in 2009 choosing to spend the year studying at Oxford.
Positives: Well-sized, athletic safety who decided to pursue a different course in his life. Fluid moving about the field, displays good speed to the sidelines and solid range in centerfield. Strong enough to defeat blocks, and brings opposing ball carriers down on initial contact.
Negatives: Displays poor instincts and consistently a half-step late arriving in coverage. Does not always take proper angles to the action. At times, over-pursues plays and removes himself from the action.
Analysis: After an All-American season as a freshman, Rolle has watched his play on the field level off, and in many instances, even regress. He's an intelligent individual who possesses the size/speed numbers for the NFL but must quickly elevate his play on the field to be anything other than a dime back.
