Biography: Three-year starter experienced at both guard and left tackle.
Positives: Well-sized, athletic offensive lineman with a large degree of upside. Sets quickly in pass protection, stays square and steers defenders from the action. Displays above average footwork in space, stout at the point and blocks with good lean. Strong, controls opponents once engaged in a block and works to bend his knees.
Negatives: Not a natural knee bender, stiff and must improve his blocking balance. Over extends into blocks. Does not correctly place his hands into defenders with consistency.
Analysis: DeGeare has been a solid lineman and possesses the size and skill to play at the next level. Better off at guard, he needs to improve the details of his game and consistently play with solid fundamentals. He has an opportunity to back up at a number of positions.
