Biography: Three-year starter awarded All-Conference honors since his sophomore season. Senior totals included 79/1065/5. Junior numbers included 71/781/8 after 73/1169/7 as a sophomore.
Positives: Tall, slender pass catcher who consistently makes the difficult reception. Sells routes, stays low exiting breaks and displays good eye/hand coordination. Smooth and natural in most of his movements, makes the difficult over the shoulder reception with defenders draped on him or gets low to scoop up the pass. Nicely adjusts to the errant throw making the reception in stride, and will expose himself to the big hit in order to come away with the ball. Smart receiver who consistently finds the open seams on the field.
Negatives: Lacks the second gear and deep speed. Not a sturdy receiver who wins out in battles or can take a pounding and hold on to the throw.
Analysis: Williams has been a very productive receiver the past three years and offers the skills to play at the next level. He must get stronger in order to handle jams at the next level, but he has possibilities as a fourth or fifth receiver for an NFL franchise.
