Biography: Junior college transfer who posted career numbers of 37/7.5/4.5 as a senior. Totaled 23/4/2 as a junior, when he was a reserve.
Positives: Relatively athletic front-seven player who showed skill last season. Plays faster than his forty time, displays good speed in every direction of the field, and has a closing burst. Plays with good balance, nicely redirects to the ball-carrier, and rarely off his feet. Drives up the field keeping his feet moving on contact, quickly change direction and collapses down the line to make plays. Plays with good lean and effectively uses his hands to protect himself.
Negatives: Lacks natural size and handled at the point by tight ends. Marginally productive in college.
Analysis: King displayed flashes of ability last season once he stepped into the starting lineup. He plays bigger and faster than his listed numbers and has possibilities as a conventional defensive end or outside linebacker in a 3-4 alignment.
