Biography: Two-year starter awarded all-Conference honors as a senior after leading the team in receptions with 48/649/6. Red shirted in 2008 after suffering a knee injury in spring football. Posted career numbers of 63/825/5 as a true junior in 2007.
Positives: Reliable pass catching tight end that looks like a large possession receiver on the field. Fluid releasing off the line into routes, gets vertical in midair and nicely adjusts to the errant throw. Makes the difficult catch in a crowd over the middle of the field, takes a pounding and holds onto the ball. Comes back to the ball out of breaks, displays solid eye/hand coordination and makes the reception away from his frame. Gives effort as a blocker.
Negatives: Marginal blocking strength and pushed to the ground by opposing defensive lineman. Lacks the playing speed to be a receiver.
Analysis: When on the field and healthy, Harmon has been very productive for Florida Atlantic. He has the athleticism to play at the next level and projects as a move tight end or H-back in a west coast offense.
