Biography: Full-time starter the past two seasons after playing five games with the first team as a sophomore. Began his college career at receiver. Recorded 29 tackles last season and broke up one pass. Also averaged 10.2 yards on 26 punt returns. Junior totals included 32/2/6 when he averaged 10.9 yards on 35 punt returns.
Positives: Tough, fluid cornerback with poor size/speed numbers. Quick flipping his hips transitioning off the line, displays a terrific burst of speed, and an explosive break to the ball out of his plant. Fluid pedaling in reverse, loses no momentum changing direction and works hard. Aggressively moves up the field to help defend running plays or screens. Displays explosiveness and the ability to alter the momentum of games with long punt returns.
Negatives: Possesses marginal instincts and late reacting to receivers? moves. Falls asleep on occasions and does not display good route recognition in zone. Will peek at the quarterback and misses assignments.
Analysis: Green is a feisty cornerback who's been relatively productive the past two seasons and is a prospect who can also double as a return specialist. He does not offer a great upside yet does enough things well to catch on as a dime back.
