Biography: Three-year starter who finished the year with 31/9.5/1 after 28/6.5/2 as a junior.
Positives: Athletic defensive prospect who flashes a lot of ability on the field. Plays with good lean, pad level and strong for his size. Keeps his feet moving on contact, slides off blocks and makes plays against the run. Fast off the edge, fluid moving in all directions of the field and rarely off his feet. Quickly gets off the ball with a nice first step, immediately alters his angle of attack and shows ability pursuing from the back side.
Negatives: Lacks overall bulk, easily ridden from his angle of attack or sealed from the action by tight ends.
Analysis: Scott lacks the classic measurables for the next level, yet he plays bigger and faster than his size and speed would lead one to believe. He offers possibilities as a backup in a conventional defensive alignment, and he could eventually develop into a solid two-gap defensive end should he fill out his frame.
