Positives: Effective interior runner who creates his own yardage. Patiently waits for blocks to develop, finds the opening in the defense, then squirts through the smallest holes of the offensive line. He will pick and choose his spots, quick footed, and possesses the ability to bounce around piles or defenders. Finds the cutback lanes, quickly gets through them, and fights hard throughout the action. Slides laterally in pass protection to pick up the blitz. Falls forward when tackled.
Negatives: Lacks the breakaway speed and ability to beat defenders into the open field. Marginal pass catcher.
Analysis: Dixon comes off a terrific senior campaign in which he's really elevated his game. He possesses the dimensions and skill to be a number two running back for an offense that likes to run the ball on the inside.
