Positives: Smart, hard-working linebacker who took his game to another level last year. Plays heads-up football, effectively diagnoses the action and very efficient. Remains disciplined with assignments, takes proper angles to the play, and wraps up tackling. Works his hands to protect himself, shows skill in coverage and good hands for the interception. Flies around the field trying to make positive plays and wraps up tackling. Immediately alters his angle of attack and flashes ability in pursuit.
Negatives: Lacks strength at the point of attack and handled by a single blocker. Possesses just an average burst of speed, which he does not sustain. Not fast to the flanks.
Analysis: Triplett is a heady defender whose game really took off last season. Lacks the great athleticism for the next level yet does enough things well to find a home as a backup.
