Barry Turner
Biography: Three-year starter who played in just two games during the 2008 season before being sidelined with a leg injury. Totals last
year included 49/16/5.5.
Positives: Athletic defensive line prospect who does not make enough plays on the field. Breaks down well, fast off the edge, and rarely off his feet. Plays with good balance, quickly changes direction, and fluid getting out laterally to chase the action to the sidelines. Moves well on his feet and uses his hands to protect himself. Negatives: Lacks great first step quickness. Displays average skills in pursuit. Does not show a closing burst of speed. Analysis: Turner is a prospect who looks the part yet really does not make a lot of plays on the ball. He should be a much better pass rusher and must quickly produce this summer to get out of camp.
