Biography: Three-year starter awarded All-Conference honors as a senior. Saw action with the first team at right guard than left tackle.
Positives: Large, strong offensive lineman best in a small area. Blocks with good lean, gets his hands into defenders and controls them at the point of attack. Quickly sets in pass protection, keeps his feet moving, and is a solid position blocker who seals defenders from the action. Large enough to engulf defenders. Strong in his upper body and displays good punch. Good initial movement at the point of attack as a run blocker.
Negatives: Lacks footwork sliding out to protect the edge, and beaten by quick or nimble opponents. Marginally explosive into blocks. Not a natural knee bender. Shows stiffness in his game.
Analysis: Scott has been a solid college tackle on the left side the past two seasons, but he really projects better on the strong side or even inside at guard. His size is enticing, and Scott has all the potential to make it as an inexpensive backup.
