Patrick Trahan
Biography: Junior college transfer who moved into the starting lineup as a senior and posted 69/12/5, while also intercepting two passes.
Junior totals included 29 tackles.
Positives: Undersized yet relatively athletic linebacker who makes plays all over the field. Breaks down well, resilient, and stays with the action. Gets depth on pass drops, forceful up the field, and quickly changes direction without losing momentum. Fluid moving to the sidelines, wraps up tackling, and plays with an aggressive streak. Negatives: Undersized and easily blocked from the action. Was productive only one year in college. Analysis: Trahan really stepped up his game last year as a senior and is one of the more underrated linebackers in this year's draft. Unlikely to be selected at any point in the draft, he's a free agent prospect who could find a home in a one-gap defense. Projection: FA |
