Biography: Rotational back for LSU who saw extensive action since his freshman season. Totals last season included 70/368/four on the ground after 83/417/2 as a junior. Career numbers of 478 yards rushing and six touchdowns came during his sophomore season. Combined for 28 receptions the prior four years.
Positives: Quick footed, elusive ball-carrier who plays with a great degree of quickness. Darts around defenders or piles on the inside, squirts through the small holes of the defense, and shows a burst of speed. Quick-footed, sets defenders up, and makes them miss.
Negatives: Displays marginal strength carrying the ball on the inside for a bigger back. At times seems unsure of himself and does not display top ball carrying instincts. Minimally productive catching the ball.
Analysis: Williams is an adequately sized back who always seemed to be on the outside and looking in at LSU. He has the skills to make it as a third ball-carrier for an NFL team if he starts to run more decisively and plays to his size.
