Biography: Two-year starter who posted 49/3/2 as a senior after 48 tackles as a junior.
Positives: Nice-sized linebacker who displays the ability to make plays in space. Breaks down well, collapses to the inside against the run and fluid getting to the flanks to cut off the corners. Quick up the field on the blitz, uses his hands to protect himself, and above-average strength at the point of attack.
Negatives: Often slowed at the point by the initial block. Does not consistently take proper angles to the action and overruns plays.
Analysis: Burell has displayed steady progress the past two seasons and offers possibilities as a backup in a 3-4 alignment. Productive special teams player at Virginia, a skill he must show this summer.
