Biography: All-Conference selection as a senior after totaling 44/16.5/12. Initially All-Conference as a junior after posting 14 tackles for loss and 10 sacks.

Positives: Short, explosive college defensive end who's been a terrific pass rusher the past three seasons. Plays with a good degree of quickness, is fast off the edge and quickly alters his angle of attack or changes direction to pursue plays laterally. Breaks down well, plays with good lean, and keeps his feet moving on contact. Displays an array of moves and works hard to get off blocks.

Negatives: Lacks size, gets caught up in the traffic, and is easily blocked at the point of attack. Rarely asked to drop into space, and he usually just pins his ears back and rushes up the field.

Analysis: Maddox has been very productive on small-school level yet will be limited by his size and speed. Could project as a rush linebacker or 3-4 defense or even line up in a three-point stance in a one-gap defense.
