Biography: Three-year starter awarded All-Conference honors the past two seasons after being named to several all-American teams as a junior. Totals last season included 77/792/7 after a career-best 95/1334/14. Sophomore totals included 78/1060/10.
Positives: Productive small school receiver on the rise. Fluid releasing off the line, quick to top speed and a sharp route runner that gets separation from opponents. Effectively extends to make the reception away from his frame. Looks the ball into his hands and displays solid eye/hand coordination. Uses his frame to shield away opponents and plays with good body control. Keeps the play in bounds running after the reception trying to pick up positive yardage.
Negatives: Does not display the burst or second gear. Not much of a threat running after the reception. Unnecessarily lets the pass get inside him at times.
Analysis: Roberts was a productive receiver on the college level who really stood out at the Senior Bowl and Combine. He's a natural pass catcher with enough physical skills to make it as a third receiver at the next level and is a prospect that should quickly produce for an NFL team.
