Keeps the play in bounds, tries to pick up as much yardage as possible whenever the ball is in his hands, and gives effort blocking. Extends his hands to make the reception away from his frame as a pass catcher. Plays with great explosion and quickness. Immediately gets to top speed and can turn it on in one step. Negatives: Lacks the size to be anything other than a specialist and has no true position at the next level. Fast yet does not possess elite speed.
Analysis: James did a terrific job as a role player at Florida. His greatest value at the next level will be returning punts and kicks besides being a third-down specialist.
