Positives: Large, small area blocker strong at the point of attack. Stays square, jolts opponents with good hand punch, and controls them once engaged the point of attack. Gets movement as a run blocker, anchors in pass protection, and is very explosive at the point of attack. Works blocks hard.

Negatives: Lumbers about the field and not light on his feet. Does not consistently extend his hands and does too much catching of the opponent rather than actual blocking.

Analysis: Royal is a size prospect still learning the offensive line position. He is a developmental prospect for a power running offense and has the ability to make a practice squad.
