Positives: Well-sized receiver with natural pass catching skills. Strong pass catcher who uses his size and as an advantage, shielding defenders away with his frame then getting vertical and high pointing the ball over opponents. Finds the open spot on the field, comes back to the quarterback and takes a pounding yet holds onto the throw. Extends his hands to make the reception away from his frame, strong running after the catch, and breaks several tackles to pick up yardage. Displays terrific concentration, contorts in midair and makes the difficult reception with defenders draped on. Possesses a sense of timing, effectively makes the difficult over-the- shoulder reception downfield or gets up in a crowd for the difficult catch.
Negatives: Slow releasing off the line, displays little burst in his game and no speed. Has had extensive knee problems the past two years.
Analysis: Alexander possesses the size and receiving skill to be a productive possession wide out at the next level. The health his knee will dictate whether he can be a teams second receiver or fifth on the depth chart.
