Biography: Three-year starter awarded All-Conference honors since his sophomore season. Junior totals included 84/1337/9, when he also averaged 22.7 yards on 19 kick returns with another score. Posted career receiving numbers of 92/1407/18 as a sophomore.
Positives: Nice-sized, sure handed receiver who's displayed the ability to take over games in the past. Strong, defeat jams at the line of scrimmage, and gets separation from opponents. Consistent hand catcher who extends to make the reception away from his frame. Gets up in a crowd and comes away with the difficult catch. Effectively uses his frame to shield away opponents and nicely adjusts to the errant throw. Displays good eye/hand coordination. Easily makes the reception in stride and very quick transitioning from making the reception to running after the catch.
Negatives: Displays minimal quickness in his game and really does not show a burst. Looked soft throughout the 2009 season and was not always extending or laying out for the difficult reception. Performed poorly at the combine.
Analysis: Briscoe was a productive receiver at Kansas three years running and has enough skill to be productive at the next level. He comes off a disappointing campaign in 2009 and must get his game back on track. Briscoe offers possibilities as a number two receiver for the next level if he hits on all cylinders.
